Two words: John Wall.
If you were to watch him play you would never even suspect for a second that he was a freshman. Fresh out of his high school graduation in June, and now lighting up the college basketball scene for the world to see.
Kentucky point guard John Wall is college basketball.
This outstanding freshman has lived up to his hype, and then some, leading Kentucky to a 10-0 start and the number 4 ranking in the nation.
John Wall does it all. Offensively, averaging 18 point per game with 7 assists per game, and on defense, his unreal speed quickness has resulted in coming up with an impressive 3 steals per game.
First team All-American? Easily.
National Freshman of the Year? Already clinched it.
National Player of the Year? Would not be surprised.
I think Wall has enough talent to take them to the Final Four and possibly a National Championship appearance.
He is the real deal.
There is no doubt in my mind he will pull a “one-and-done” just like Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose, and many others did. In fact, mark my word, he will be the first pick in the 2010 NBA Draft in April.
Wall has basically surpassed all comparisons of Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo at this point in his career.
At this rate, looks like Mr. Wall will be playing in New Jersey. Good luck NBA teams, the John Wall lottery is underway.
